Vols vs. Georgia... A Fearless Prediction
On Saturday Tennessee and Georgia will play at Neyland Stadium, and rarely has this game been so far off the national radar. Neither team is ranked in the top 25. Neither team has a realistic shot to win the SEC East.
Both teams share something in common... disgruntled fan bases. The Vols have already had their coaching armageddon, with the removal of Phillip Fulmer and the hiring of Lane Kiffin last fall.
As incredible as it sounds, the vultures are starting to surround Athens as well. Bulldogs head coach Mark Richt is now the SEC's longest tenured head coach. Since arriving in 2001, Richt has compiled an 85-24 record, with two SEC championships. But Georgia could finish at 7-5 this year, and that simply isn't acceptable at a traditional SEC powerhouse.
What was it that Steve Spurrier said? 10 years is long enough for a coach at any school? This is Richt's ninth season at Georgia...
But I disgress... back to Saturday's 12:21pm battle at Neyland...
Georgia's defense has looked awful at times this season. Tennessee's offense has looked awful at times this season. Something has to give. This game will not be pretty. The heat will be turned up a notch on Richt.
Tennessee 13, Georgia 10.
Mark's 2009 Fearless Prediction Record: 4-1

Or, ohh wait you have new babe, that is right, I apologize for the disparaging remark about drug use. No doubt sleep deprivation has got you thinking crazy. That's OK, you still the man.
I say Go Vols, but I think they have no chance this week. I hope you are right with your sleep-addled mind.
